About us

Having always been a keen photographer, Jim decided in 1995 to go back into Higher Education and study photography more seriously.  He gained an HND, followed by a BA(hons), then started his own business in 1998. Jim is also professionally qualified with the BIPP at Associate level (ABIPP), and is also a member of the SWPP (ASWPP).

Starting out photographing local families initially, Jim then began taking on wedding bookings, and through word of mouth has built up a thriving business.

Jim's wife Nicky has become more involved in recent years and has photographed more than twenty weddings on her own, though they often work together as a team. Nicky has also taken on the role of album designer, where some of her creative experience comes into play!

Jim and Nicky live in Barton on Sea, on the edge of the New Forest, and are a ten minute walk from the beach. They have six children between them (five of them more than 20 years of age), and when they have time, can be found cycling around the Forest, or going for a run along the cliff top.

When you visit them you will always get a warm welcome, a cup of fresh coffee, and maybe one of Nicky’s chocolate brownies!
